Hi, I’m Heather, a Registered Marriage Couples and Family Therapy Associate, with a Masters of Marriage Couples, and Family Therapy from Lewis and Clark College. I also holds degrees in Psychology, Philosophy, and Women's and Gender Studies from the University of Michigan.

I believe we are whole beings with the ability to love and connect in open, honest, and varied ways. As a Black queer clinician who specializes in non-traditional relationships, I can tell you that in the narratives of marginalized people hold many strengths in hidden narratives, re-authored, and reclaimed. It is you who is the agent of your own pleasure, and the more honest and real you are with yourself, the more you are able to thrive.

Whether you are struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or any other concerns, you deserve a therapist who will be open and supportive yet willing to challenge you gently when needed.  With an approach that combines connection and boundaries, we can work together to help you find the agency you need to move through life with pleasure. Your therapy experience will be tailored to you, based upon an understanding of you as a person within a relationship and larger systems/communities, and with the use of therapy techniques including mindfulness, contextual and attachment based strategies. I am committed to providing space for people of color, LGBTQIA communities, non-monogamous communities, and Kink communities thrive and connect. My hope is to bring intersectional, pleasure focused, and trauma informed care to underrepresented communities.
